Like always, this class is restricted to those who have finished the MKdF beginners class. In order to participate, you must be vaccinated and boostered. This class is based on using a simplified version of German longsword technique called common fencing to allow for an easier entry into sparring. We will pare down to only the simplest actions and explore sparring in this context building as we go and incorporating concepts from more advanced classes without any pressure. This will be 6 week intro that will lead into a more organic class afterwards and will be the foundation of what we do. I will repeat this class with some regularity and if you've taken it then you can jump into the Thursday sparring class whenever you want.    Gear requirements: Mask and gloves to begin. Eventually jackets and full protective gear when we get into full contact sparring. Please tip your swords.
