This is a continuous saber class taught without a specific source. While many systems will be drawn on people practicing any system are welcome to join and will learn something. We will be working on techniques but also general fencing concepts such as distance management, timing, fighting under defense and so on.    This class is meant for newer and more experienced fencers, but the first few weeks will be more focused on getting everyone to a point where they can do the basics so we can move forward.

Mask use will (likely) be at the participants' discretion. **Full vaccination is defined by getting the full regimen of shots (Pfizer/Moderna = 2, J&J = 1) and at least one booster shot.** -------------- AutumnFecht is an effort by Maryland KdF to provide a cheap, single-day get together for regional HEMA practitioners to train, get together, educate staff, and share ideas.  This single day event features: Informative classes from local instructors Time set aside for one-on-one or small group instruction Dedicated open floor space all day long This year, we have the entire facility to do sparring, learning, teaching, wrestling, whatever! Also, the Napoleonic Europe Martial Arts group (NEMA) is doing Napoleonic Games! Cheer on your favorites as they best each other in saber, smallsword, and bayonet.  If you have any suggestions or questions, especially if you’re a local who would expect to make these kinds of events, please let us know!
