August 15th: Sidesword with Collin only.  RAPIER: This will be a multi focus group. To help people find the style that fits best with their physiology, temperament, and how to just become a better fighter by understanding the breadth of techniques out there and how to use/defend against them. SABER: This is a continuous saber class taught without a specific source. While many systems will be drawn on people practicing any system are welcome to join and will learn something. We will be working on techniques but also general fencing concepts such as distance management, timing, fighting under defense and so on.

This is a friendly Sword and Buckler tournament aimed primarily at HEMA fencers in the DC-Baltimore area. (It will also hopefully be the first of a regular series of events, so keep your eyes open for future announcements). Registration is limited to 20 entrants. If registration is full and you are interested in participating, please contact MKDF at the following address to be placed on the waitlist: staff@marylandkdf.com The event will be hosted Aug 10, 2024, at Top Tier Columbia in Columbia, MD. Check-in begins at 2:30pm. Check-in closes and pools will be announced at 3:30pm. If you are not checked in and ready by the time pools are announced, you are late and subject to being disqualified.
